Day 8
Our Final Day Together!
Camp ended fabulously, if a bit sweatily!
Students closed out camp with
-a killer cookie challenge
- a simulation of life on the farm
(as a laborer)
- a visit from Ms. Palmer from the Vermont Humanities Council
(and our camp shirts)
- rehearsal for, and then our final
presentation of
"Lewis Hine and the Crusade Against Child Labor"
-then ice cream at Hoss's

Day 7
It is hard to believe that tomorrow is our last day!
Camp has been such a blast this year
and the students have really come together
to learn and grow. They will make the
world a better place- without a doubt!
Today we
- had an interesting balloon challenge
- sampled and explored fair trade chocolates
- made bread, and shared it with every
camp happening at school
- had a rehearsal for our play
- read more of our book
(we should finish it tomorrow)
- made a final trip to the pool

Day 5
It is hard to believe we are in our second week!
Today we
-faced a wicked rubber band challenge
- rehearsed our play
- learned how we could help stop child labor
- read Bread and Roses
-and ended in the pool!

Day 4
Our first week came to a glorious end today!
We visited the Heritage Mill Museum
& the Winoski Historical Society this morning!
After learning a lot about child labor in Vermont history
(thank you Miriam Block)
we spent our afternoon in the pool!
We can't wait for next week!
