Our Final Day Together

 Our Final Day!

We viewed our public service announcement,

joined in a community showcase of the basketball camp,

played, ate some ice cream, finished off our democracy T-shirts

and then said a sad farewell!

Day 6

                                           Today we explored our understanding around the 

                                        the concepts of political ideas and liberalism &

                                                                  conservativism. 

                                                There were games too and another pair

                                                                of fabulous socks!!!! 

Day 5

 Today we did some JIGSAW research

Students worked together in pairs to read and 

prepare a presentation on a portion of

You Call This Democracy?

We also ran around

conducting interviews for our

public service announcements,

played some games and found a cool 

pile of chrysalises 

Day 4

 Day 4 & we are busy!!!!

                And the sock king continues to hold his title for best socks!

                        A walk in the wetlands sets the tone for a relaxed day.

                There is frighteningly little water in the wetlands this time of year!

                              A beautiful, but sad find, is this wing fragment...

                Ali is unbelievable with a catapult that most of us struggled with!

                                                I got this!

                                                    Hmmm....

                                                    It melted?!!

        Gross but also beautiful are the effects of mushed marshmallows during clean-up!

Days 2 & 3

   Our Time Seems to go so Quickly!

This week we:

                                 explored the definition of Democracy
                        investigated (with candy) other forms of government
                                    created some democratic art     

                                            played some silly games

                                had a visit from Senator Corey Parent!!! 

                                            Day 2 Planned out!

    

                                             A little damp and chilly, but we learned so much!!

    

                                                        Blowing us away with her skills!!!

    

                                                    This is just to hard- not enough hot air!!!
