Welcome to Humanities Camp 2019

Our Theme: SURVIVAL

Hope that everyone is excited about
another glorious two weeks of Humanities Camp!
The teachers have to admit we have as much fun as the students!
Every year is new and wondrous.
This year the theme is survival.

Our Focus: What does it take to be a survivor?
What character traits make a person capable
of going, doing, being more?

See You Next Year!

Day 8

Our Final Day Together!

Camp ended fabulously, if a bit sweatily!
Students closed out camp with
-a killer cookie challenge
- a simulation of life on the farm
(as a laborer)
- a visit from Ms. Palmer from the Vermont Humanities Council
(and our camp shirts)
- rehearsal for, and then our final
presentation of
"Lewis Hine and the Crusade Against Child Labor"
-then ice cream at Hoss's

Day 7

It is hard to believe that tomorrow is our last day!
Camp has been such a blast this year
and the students have really come together
to learn and grow. They will make the
world a better place- without a doubt!
Today we
- had an interesting balloon challenge
- sampled and explored fair trade chocolates
- made bread, and shared it with every
camp happening at school
- had a rehearsal for our play
- read more of our book
(we should finish it tomorrow)
- made a final trip to the pool
